Baloney. The rudest person was Harper; contempt of Parliament.

Who cares about civility, I want action by any means.

The study that was conducted only took into consideration the content of the questions itself and therefore what appears on Hansard, while this is a valid analysis it does not address the root cause of the lack of civility in the commons during question period.

The amount of taunting, trash talk, cat calls and outright disrespect among members towards those who are actually conducting or responding to oral questions is rampant and despicable.

The whole problem with Government is the way the power is distributed by party rather than by voter selections. Our system was just fine when initially developed but has outlived it's usefulness as more and more issues arise for more and more voters to determine which ones are the most important to them. Minority Governments have protected Canadians from the extremism of some of the parties and their leaders while majority's leave us all at the mercy of the power. See Mulroney for proof.

"""identify the level of rudeness based on factors such as aggression and anger.""""

evidently it is rude to be aggressive and angry ----when trying to pry truth from those not willing to be truthful

what an absurd set of criteria

I don't know if Layton's the rudest in the Commons, but he's certainly the most opportunistic. Layton's allied himself against the Supreme Court of Canada by saying 50% 1 is enough for Quebec to destroy Canada; he's likewise turned his back on the plight of the disintegrating Anglophone communities and cultures of Quebec by throwing his support behind the Francosupremacist French Language Charter of Quebec.

Layton's as much of a cynical opportunist as Harper is often rightly pointed out as being.

I have news for you, if Quebec ever left (doubtful) Canada would carry on.

I have news for you: A MAJORITY OF QUEBECERS want to remain in Canada! These separatist filth are in the minority, and we need help from Ottawa to rid us of them. Declare them traitors; lock them away. Deport immigrants like Khadir for breaking their oaths of citizenship and fighting for the breakup of Canada!

I wonder if the Aboriginals will have something to say about their piece of Quebec.

I've got news for you the disintegrating anglophone communites started after the PQ was elected in 76. The big companies up and left and most of us anglophones left with them. Then the referndums that was fun (not) then the closure of English schools in Montreal.

Jack Layton being rude to Stephen Harper is the least of problems we have had with Quebec. Give him a chance he comes from Quebec he understands all the problems.
