William and Kate In Prince Edward Island: The Best Places Not On The Royal Couple's Itinerary (PHOTOS)

The royal newlyweds arrived Sunday night in Prince Edward Island at the Charlottetown airport, where a loud 'Yay' was heard as the couple's plane touched town. Later, about 2,500 people packed a boardwalk outside a seaside pub to get a glimpse of Prince William and Kate, who spent about 40 minutes meeting journalists at an informal gathering.

The couple's P.E.I. itinerary includes a visit to a national park and Province House, as well as a search and rescue demonstration. Not that maritime safety isn’t important, but what would they do if they weren’t the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge?

If they could spend a few days as an ordinary young couple, where would they go for the best food, entertainment and plain-old fun? This list would be a good start:

Rufus & Rory's Finer Diner
32 University Avenue, Charlottetown, 902-892-8563

It's a little slice of Coolsville right in the middle of Charlottetown. The jukebox is cranked and the food is in orbit, man. R&R's menu includes soup, salads, sandwiches, pizza, milkshakes, hot platters and the famous "Gutbuster Burger." Open every day from 9 a.m. to 11 p.m., with breakfast until 2.

Very slow news day. Three day weekend in both countries. Maybe they should have interviews "The Donald's Hair Stylist."

"Rate the best places they would go if they weren't who they are!" What a drag.

What an awful list.... Cows is literally the only thing worth doing. How did not one beach make the list? A trip to PEI just isn't complete with out deep sea fishing, a 'homemade' lobster dinner, and a trip to Basin Head.

The beaches of the PEI national park should have made this list. The lobster dinner at St. Ann Church is missing as well.

Uh is that resin chair in pic six? I am pretty sure it is a lovely patio but to suggest the royal couple should plunk their royal hinnies in a forest green resin garden chair is a big no-no.

What a tourism shill. Does Huffington get paid to put up this nonsense. "Cool...." diner. This is not Homer and his family folks.
