YouTube Not Working? Video Clips Not Playing On Popular Sharing Site

YouTube videos weren't working Thursday morning, prompting a flurry of Tweets by concerned video viewers.

The problem -- black screens, no play buttons -- was evident on the video site and in embedded clips, including those in Huffington Post stories. The iPhone YouTube app appears to work.

However, the YouTube problem isn't affecting everyone.

A workaround for dead YouTube links suggested by several people is to change the beginning of the url to "https://" from "http://"
