Letting a hallmark of Canadian heritage rot is symbolic of Harper's intentions to dramatically change the traditions and values that Canadians have fought for and which defines us as a country.

Is this why Laureen likes to spend time at the Château Laurier? What about the kids?

This is (disconcertingly) the first time since winning a majority that I've really disagreed with Stephen Harper. If Harper won't leave, they should renovate the house around him. 24 Sussex is an historic landmark; it's a priceless part of our Canadian heritage.

Don't worry, Steve does want to move out to hide his marital separation. He's just clever enough to get the people to force him to move out rather than have to explain why he and his wife don't live under the same roof.

Have you got anything to back that up? I haven't heard any such thing...not that it would surprise me, but I'd like a source...

For one-tenth the cost, one could build an entirely new mansion for the PM. I may not agree often with Mr. Harper, but this is one of them.

This is one of our biggest problems. Developers who come in, let buildings rot and then tell everyone they are tearing them down because they are rotten. Then they put up some meaningless structure of lesser purpose. Kind of like coming into your house, smashing the fine china and giving you melmac to serve the guests.
