Armed tactical officers arrested four people Friday afternoon in connection with an armed robbery investigation in the Eastern Townships.
Montreal police intercepted a car at the corner of Papineau Avenue and Crémazie Boulevard at around 1 p.m.
They stopped the vehicle after receiving information about a suspect in several armed robberies at stores in Cowansville.
The four occupants of the car were arrested and held for questioning.
Police said some illegal drugs were also seized from the vehicle.
The investigation is ongoing.
