A counsellor in northern B.C. has been arrested on charges of sexual assault, Fort St. John RCMP said Wednesday.
Police said Michael Anthony allegedly sexually assaulted a client while he was practicing under ABA Counselling Services in Fort St. John.
Police can't confirm that the alleged assault is an isolated incident. They are encouraging anyone with information on this case or other potential cases to contact the Fort St. John serious crime unit at (250) 787-8140.
Police said Anthony has worked as a counsellor in at least three other northern B.C. towns: Prince George, Dawson Creek and Williams Lake.
Anthony has been released from custody on a number of conditions and is scheduled to appear in court on Oct. 12.
