STRATFORD, Ont. - Showing he's game for just about any sporting event, Progressive Conservative Leader Tim Hudak tried his hand at lawn bowling during a campaign stop in Stratford on Wednesday.

Hudak got some tips on proper technique from members of the Stratford Lawn Bowling Club before stepping onto the pitch.

He then bowled a few with Randy Pettapiece, who is the PC candidate in the Perth-Wellington riding.

With a 12-pack of beer riding on the outcome, Hudak managed a close shot but ultimately lost to Pettapiece.

The two then shook hands for the cameras and joked about whether their duel would rank among the "greatest moments" in sports history.

Pettapiece is running in the riding currently held by Liberal Environment Minister John Wilkinson.
