VIDEO: TIFF laces up the best in costume design

Canadian costume designers have left their mark on many fantasy, science fiction and horror films of the last decade.

Their costume work has added both atmosphere and character to films ranging from the wildly colourful TheImaginarium of Dr. Parnassus to the cold beauty of Splice, the dark horror of Orphan to the DIY outfit of Defendor.

Curator Sylvia Frank tells CBC News about the strange beauty on display at the TIFF exhibit Otherworldly: The Art of Canadian Costume Design, on display at the TIFF Bell Lightbox in Toronto until March 2012.
