Canada's Walk of Fame added some new stars last night at Toronto's Elgin Theatre.
They join the ranks of 131 other famous canucks already given one of the maple leaf-styled star plaques in Toronto's entertainment district. Past inductees include Alanis Morissette (2005), Margaret Atwood (2001) and Lloyd Robertson (2007).
This year's inductees are:
Sandra Oh, actor
Russell Peters, comedian
Roberta Bondar, astronaut
Burton Cummings, musician
Daniel Nestor, tennis player
Mordecai Richler, author
Ryan Reynolds, actor
The ceremony, hosted by Howie Mandel and featuring performances by Chantal Kreviazuk and Justin Bieber, will air on Slice and Global on Oct. 23.
