Rain

Transport authorities in Montreal temporarily shut down some low-lying roads Thursday afternoon after heavy showers and hail flooded some areas.

Highway 15 South at Salaberry East and Highway 15 North at Cartier (on the Laurentian Autoroute) were closed for about an hour because of water accumulation.

The St-Jacques exit off the Ville Marie Expressway and the St-Rémi Tunnel were shut for about an hour, but reopened shortly after 5 p.m. ET.

It started off with a dark wall cloud. Then the rain hit, followed by pea-sized, and finally gumball-sized hail. Very odd for this time of year.......
