TORONTO - Dozens of flights between Canada and cities on the U.S. east coast have been cancelled due to a major snow storm.

The websites of the airports in Toronto, Montreal and Halifax show many flights cancelled to cities including New York and Newark.

Some other flights have been delayed.

The storm has blanketed parts of the U.S. from Maryland to New York.

Some areas have reported as much as 25 centimetres of snow.

The system is expected to move into parts of Atlantic Canada on Sunday.

Jet Blue had a 7 hour wait on a tarmac in CT. This seems to be more a matter of the fact that Jet Blue is an economy airline, not unlike People's Express in the early to mid 1980s, which also suffered great anti-trust violations against it because it did not charge "what everyone else charges".
I would almost be willing to bet that that is what is at the bottom of Jet Blue problem. Not the weather, but anticompetition.
