Quick Study [kwik stuhd-ee]: The Huffington Post Canada's tips to make your life a little sweeter, five minutes at a time. Think of it as a cheatsheet for your general well-being.

For the next 30 days, we're checking out how to take a break from your busy holiday schedule and relax -- in unexpected ways.

THE EXPERT:

The Huffington Post Canada talked to organizing addict Laura Wittmann on how we can declutter our lives before the holiday season begins.

HuffPost: How do you suggest taking a break from the stresses of the holidays?

Laura Wittmann: My secret recommendation would be to do a brain dump. So many people are stressed out because they have too much information swirling around in their heads that they are trying to keep track of by memory. It can be exhausting and absolutely overwhelming. I recommend grabbing a notebook and simply start writing down as many things come to mind. Everything from appointments, things to do, buy, make, call, package, etc. Doing a brain dump in this way is the equivalent of a three hour nap, you will feel refreshed and so much lighter!

HOW THE TWITTERVERSE DOES IT:

Tom Bruce
My wife cleans the house all the time and doesn't say a word. I organize one closet and have to show it off like its the sistine chapel.

BLOGGER SECRETS:
Huffington Post blogger Heather Cabot offers three steps to keep your desk clean and organized.

If you are still paying your bills by snail mail and receiving statements in the mail, you are missing a really great opportunity to better organize your budget and cut down on clutter in your house. No more stamps, no more running to the post office -- If you shift your bill paying to the web, you can really save time and also alleviate late payments and penalties. If you are already using online bill pay, you might want to check out some of the really cool personal finance websites out there like Mint.com which allows you to manage all of your money in one place with tools to help you budget and save. It is free and also has just introduced a new mobile application. Read the rest of her steps here.

Cute but I always question the "put it in a container" advice. So you have pasta or cereals and your container needs refilled. You open the bag or box of food and pour what you can in the container but it doesn't all fit. Now you have a container AND a partial box or bag of food? I always wonder if the people showing their pretty labeled pantry containers have a second "pantry of shame" where the bags and boxes of food waiting to be put into those containers are stored?
