Quick Study [kwik stuhd-ee]: The Huffington Post Canada's tips to make your life a little sweeter, five minutes at a time. Think of it as a cheatsheet for your general well-being.

For the next 30 days, we're checking out how to take a break from your busy holiday schedule and relax -- in unexpected ways.

THE EXPERT:

The Huffington Post Canada talked to organizing addict Laura Wittmann on how we can declutter our lives before the holiday season begins.

HuffPost: How do you suggest taking a break from the stresses of the holidays?

Laura Wittmann: My secret recommendation would be to do a brain dump. So many people are stressed out because they have too much information swirling around in their heads that they are trying to keep track of by memory. It can be exhausting and absolutely overwhelming. I recommend grabbing a notebook and simply start writing down as many things come to mind. Everything from appointments, things to do, buy, make, call, package, etc. Doing a brain dump in this way is the equivalent of a three hour nap, you will feel refreshed and so much lighter!
