Anne Hathaway, who earned an Oscar nomination for her role as the unmarried sister in Rachel Getting Married, is engaged to boyfriend Adam Shulman, her spokesman said on Monday.

Publicist Stephen Huvane revealed no other details.

Hathaway, 29, has been dating Shulman, an actor and jewelry designer, since 2008. Shulman designed her engagement ring, which she was seen wearing over the weekend in New York.

The actress was previously romantically linked to Raffaello Follieri, but broke up with him in 2008 when he was arrested and pleaded guilty to fraud charges.

Hathaway is to play Catwoman in the upcoming superhero film The Dark Knight Rises. She also has had roles in The Princess Diaries, The Devil Wears Prada and Love and Other Drugs.
