The modern history book has names like like Hillary Clinton and Angela Merkel holding positions of tremendous influence. Before them, Margaret Thatcher drove a path that many would associate with her current-day counterparts. Thatcher's influence on British history and world affairs is no doubt one for the books. In more than 10 years as Prime Minister, she saw the end of the cold war, initiate the Falkwalks War and usher in policies that put the United Kingdom close to the United States while Ronald Reagan was President.
