4-year-old pitches in at Vancouver blood bank

Canadian Blood Services has sought the aid of a four-year-old boy to help boost blood donations in Vancouver at a time of year when the supply on hand tends to drop.

Luke Feist has hemophilia, which means his blood doesn't clot properly, and he often been on the receiving end of the donation system.

If Luke gets so much as a cut, he needs the blood bank's help and has had four transfusions so far.

So with his parents' blessing, CBS has taken up the services of a cute pre-schooler to help fill an almost empty appointment book at CBS, as the CBC's Deborah Goble reports.
