If there were any lingering doubts that Canada is becoming more conservative minded, a new Angus Reid survey on the popularity of premiers should put them to rest.
The top three most popular premiers are all conservative in their thinking, with Saskatchewan's Brad Wall coming in at the top of the approval list. Newfoundland and Labrador's Kathy Dunderdale and Alberta's Alison Redford rank number two and three.
Canada's least popular premiers, meanwhile, are both Liberals. At the very bottom of the list is Quebec's Jean Charest, with an approval rating of just 26 per cent. Ontario's Dalton McGuinty is the second least popular premier with a 38 per cent approval rating.
The survey also included some opposition leaders. Newfoundland and Labrador's NDP Leader Lorraine Michael topped that list with 57 per cent approval. Ontario's NDP leader Andrea Horwath followed close behind with a 53 per cent approval rating.
Angus Reid surveyed 7,282 Canadian adults online for the the survey.
You can see the complete list of premiers from least to most popular in the slideshow below. Prince Edward Island was not included in the survey.
