Nativity scene mystery intrigues family

A western Newfoundland family is enjoying a new nativity scene this Christmas — the only problem is, they have no idea who is giving it to them, one piece at a time.

Every night for the past week and a half, between 6 and 6:30 NT, Karen Michael and her family have heard a knock on the door of their Corner Brook home.

The first night, an empty stable appeared on the stoop.

Every night since, a new figure for the barn has arrived.

But there is never anyone at the door, just a new character.

"We have no idea who it is — they just run away so quick," Michael said.

Michael said they have come close, but still haven't figured out who their secret Santa is.

It's a Christmas mystery, with the last piece of the puzzle scheduled for delivery on Saturday night.
