Two dead in separate crashes in Montérégie

Two separate crashes claimed the lives of two women east of Montreal Tuesday morning.

The first crash happened just after 6 a.m. in Sainte-Angèle-de-Monnoir on De L’Eglise Side Road.

The 41-year-old driver was taken to hospital, where she later died.

The second crash happened at 7:30 a.m. about 20 kilometres away on Charlotte Side Road.

The 19-year-old driver died after her car collided with another vehicle.

Provincial police said road conditions are to blame for both cases.

All affected roads have been reopened.
