Father of missing infant faces new charges

The father of a missing Woodbridge, Ont., baby has made a court appearance to have his charges amended in connection with the infant's disappearance.

Ricky Doodhnaught's new charges are for committing an indignity to human remains and failure to provide the necessities of life. Doodhnaught, 31, was already facing abduction charges.

His son, George, went missing in October and is presumed dead. Police believe the baby's body was disposed of about Nov. 1. He was nine weeks old at the time of his disappearance.

The infant's 23-year-old mother, Nadia Ayyad, had previously been charged with committing an indignity to human remains and failing to provide the necessities of life, as well as an obstruction charge.

Three women have also been arrested, and face charges of obstructing justice and accessory after the fact, in connection with the child's disappearance: Rita Nankali, 60, Ricky Doodhnaught's aunt; Victoria Munian, 21, Doodhnaught's cousin; and Susan Munian, 39.
