FREDERICTON - Some members of the Occupy Nova Scotia group have travelled to Fredericton to support an Occupy New Brunswick encampment that is still in place outside city hall.

CTV television news reported Thursday that the reinforcements are coming just days before the Fredericton camp is scheduled to be dismantled.

Mayor Brad Woodside has said the Fredericton protesters are expected to dismantle their tents by New Year's day and has said city crews will bring the tents down if that doesn't happen.

The international Occupy movement is protesting the excessive concentration of wealth and the growing income gap between rich and poor citizens.

Julian Renaud told CTV that it's very heartening to have the support of the Halifax-based Occupy movement.

The television network reported that the protesters aren't planning to pack up their tents prior to New Year's day.
