We run across pretty impressive YouTube covers in our day-to-day work here at the Huffington Post.
But this cover of Maroon 5's undeniably catchy "Moves Like Jagger" got our attention.
Jordan Campbell, a student at Toronto's Ryerson University, sings, hums, 'drums' and whistles through the song. According to Campbell's YouTube description, the song contained 50 different audio tracks and 76 video sequences.
Yep, that's every guitar strum, cymbal hit and auto-tuned note from one of last year's most danceable songs in one Brady Bunch-style video.
"It was a long, long process," the 20-year-old Performance Acting student, said over the phone.
"It took 150 hours just to get the audio done for the whole song," he explained. Shooting the video and editing it took another couple of days he explained.
"I used to be in a choir and I missed singing the harmonies," Campbell said. "I thought, hey, why I don’t sing the harmonies myself," he added.
Campbell also said that videos by Mike Tompkins, who does hugely popular covers of a capella songs, inspired the video component of the project.
