Toronto Mayor Rob Ford has been in the news a lot since he was elected late in 2010.
He declined to attend Toronto's Pride Parade, was involved in 911 calls on at least two occasions and escalated an ongoing battle with the Toronto Star.
On top of all that, Ford has faced declining support. In September 2011, a Forum Research poll put his approval rating at 42 per cent, down from 60 per cent in February of that year.
