Total strangers are helping to honour 23-year-old homicide victim Leanne Freeman by setting up a permanent memorial in Toronto, Jasmin Seputis reports.
Freeman, originally from Winnipeg, was shot in the head and dumped on a desolate road in Toronto's Port Lands on Nov. 29. Two men have since been arrested in connection with her death.
Friends and strangers alike have visited the makeshift memorial near the spot where she was killed, while Toronto-area businesses have offered to honour Freeman with a permanent memorial stone.
