Accused in Dot Woods case to appear in court

A Saskatoon man will be in court Monday charged with murdering his wife.

David Woods is charged with the murder of Dorothy "Dot" Woods.

She was last seen Nov. 12, sparking a police investigation and an intense search effort by family and friends. Her body was found on Wednesday about 40 kilometres south of Saskatoon.

On Friday police said a 49-year-old man who had been a person of interest in the case had been charged.

Friends of Woods say they'll be following the case closely.

"I hope, I really do hope, that they give me front row seats because I want to look him in the eyes," said longtime friend Sandy Lukowich.

"I won't say anything. I just want to be there and see."
