Several men were arrested after a fight at a Surrey banquet hall that also roughed up police who responded.
Surrey RCMP attended to reports of about 20 people fighting at the Bombay Banquet Hall just after midnight on Sunday.
"When the police started breaking it up, there was a lot of pushing and shoving and I guess some of the police were pushed around as well," said Staff Sgt. Blair McColl.
"There may be, depending on the investigation, some criminal offences identified as well as Liquor Control Act offences. No charges have been laid at this point but that is being looked into," he added.
There were about 150 people in the hall at the time but it's unclear what sort of event was underway. RCMP aren't saying what may have started the fight.
