Montreal police have set up a command post in Montreal's Ahuntsic-Cartierville borough as they search for a 26-year-old woman who has been missing for almost a week.

Clémence Umugwaneza was reported missing on Jan. 11. She left her home for a walk with only her MP3 player around 9 p.m. and hasn't been seen since.

Her family says it's not in her character to leave home without letting others know of her plans.

"She left without any money, without any piece of ID, and at this point investigators are really worried about the situation of Madame Umugwaneza," Const. Raphael Bergeron said.

Police will be at Les Galeries Normandie shopping centre on de Salaberry on Monday, and officers will also go door-to-door to get more information about where the missing woman might have gone.

Umugwaneza was wearing a black coat, with a black tuque at the time she disappeared.

She has black hair and brown eyes, weighs around 180 pounds (90 kilograms), and measures 1.7 metres.
