Rolland Belzil was arraigned today at the courthouse in Sorel-Tracy.
Belzil's lawyer said his client is a suicide risk and that's why he did not enter a plea.
Belzil has been sent to the Pinel Institute in Montreal to undergo a psychiatric evaluation.
He will return to court on Feb. 13.
