Tina Beznec Auctions Bum For Tattoo: Funds Will Help Her Pay Bills

Woman Auctions Bum For Tattoo
Trade Me

If your bills, debts and desire to buy the latest piece of fashion couture has put a hole in your pocket, you're not alone. Yes, North American debt is on the rise.

And though there are several ways you can go about getting your financial situation in check, one New Zealand woman has come up with, perhaps, the cheekiest (and, dare we say, most random) solution to get her pocketbook in order.

Reuters is reporting Tina Beznec has started an online auction dubbed "Your Tattoo On My Bum" to raise funds to pay her bills. Yes, you read that right: Beznec is giving one person the opportunity to tattoo her bottom, all in the name of becoming more monetarily stable. (Twenty per cent of the proceeds will also go to charity.)

There are, of course, stipulations for the tattoo:

-- It can be 9 x 9 centimeters long

-- Can only be on one cheek

-- Beznec gets to choose the tattoo parlour where the tattoo gets done

-- She's hoping to get the tattoo done on February 4

-- The lucky winner will receive a framed photo of the tattoo (or, alternatively, the winner can go watch the tattoo get done live and in person)

Adds Beznec: "OMG, I'm a tad nervous."

The listing has, reportedly, been viewed almost 300,000 times and the current bid is $12,300 NZ.

This isn't the first time someone has sold a part of their body to raise funds for various causes. Check out some of the other crazy ways people have raked in moola by selling off a piece of themselves.

But we have to ask, is this something you'd ever contemplate doing? Permanently altering a piece of yourself for a little bit of cash?

Here's to hoping her design doesn't come out looking like one of these tattoo fails
