Quebec will sue big tobacco, health minister says

It's been nearly three years since the national assembly passed legislation setting the stage for a multi-billion dollar lawsuit against big tobacco firms.

Now, time is running out before a June 2012 court deadline.

Last week, a Superior Court judge in Ontario gave that province the green light to launch its own anti-tobacco suit, estimated to be worth $50 billion.

In an exclusive interview with CBC News, Quebec's health minister, Yves Bolduc, confirms the province will meet the deadline, and file legal action.
