While training at the superpipe in Park City, Utah, top Canadian freestyle skier Sarah Burke suffered a serious injury which left her in a medically induced coma. Thursday, nine days after the accident, Burke was pronounced dead.

Condolences and tributes to the 29-year-old flooded the social media sphere — not only the sporting world, where she was considered a pioneer, but from every quarter of the North America.
