Construction on Parc Avenue in Montreal's Mile End district resumed Monday morning after a break for the holidays.
The roadwork has been a nightmare for businesses and residents on the street for almost two years.
The work that started Monday is around the corner of Parc and Mont-Royal Avenue.
One lane will be open in each direction on Parc this week, but a portion of Mont-Royal will be closed. Starting next week, the southbound lane on Parc will be closed between Saint-Joseph Boulevard and Mont-Royal.
The work is scheduled to be finished later this year.
