TORONTO - Toronto Mayor Rob Ford and his brother stepped on the scales this morning for their first weigh-in since starting a weight loss campaign.

In the first seven days, Rob Ford has dropped 10 pounds and now weighs in at 320 pounds.

His brother, Coun. Doug Ford, is down nine pounds to 266.

The mayor says he has been running a lot, lifting weights and eating "like a rabbit."

Doug Ford described it as the toughest thing he and his brother have ever done.

The goal for both men is to drop 50 pounds each by June.

Lets' keep an eye on the real issue in Toronto, Robbie and Dougie Ford are trying to destroy one of the greatest cities on the planet by inventing a financial crisis that does not exist.

The only reason I care aboot Robbie dropping a few pounds now, he wont cost the public Health Care system in the future when his heart explodes.

That's really mean spirited.

Half his weight loss is likely water weight, but he should be encouraged, not mocked, whether or not you agree with his politics. He has young kids, I believe. It would be nice if he could see them grow up.
