Possible Human Foot Washes Ashore On B.C. Coast

A boot containing the apparent remains of a human foot have washed ashore on Vancouver's coast.


Police said they were notified Thursday afternoon about what appears to be human bones inside the boot found on the shore of English Bay near False Creek.


The area has been cordoned off and the BC Coroners Service has been notified, Vancouver police Const. Lindsey Houghton said in a release.

People drown on the beach, the feet pop off when they decay, and I guess the shoes are more buoyant than the skeleton. So eventually, they wash up wherever the current takes them. Not so much a mystery as just a creepy phenomenon.
