A 41-year-old woman is dead after she was found shot behind Toronto's Dufferin Mall Friday night.
Police say she was discovered on Chesley Avenue with serious head injuries at around 6:30 p.m. It had originally been reported that she was severely beaten, but police said Saturday afternoon that she had been suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.
She was rushed to St. Michael's Hospital but later died of her injuries.
So far the woman's name has not been released and there are no suspects.
It's Toronto's sixth homicide of the year.
