Pointe-Claire restores water service

The city of Pointe-Claire has restored service to residents who went three days without running water after a main break last Thursday.

A city official said the water was turned back on for approximately 100 households on Delmar Street late Saturday afternoon.

Pointe-Claire mayor Bill McMurchie said the city started offering bottled water late Friday night, acknowledging the inconvenience to people affected.

Residents had to go pick up the water at designated drop-off spots.

The city official was unable to explain the cause of the water main break.
