3 arrested after parking garage break-ins

Toronto police have arrested three men in connection with a rash of recent vehicle break-ins which occurred in underground parking garages.

Twenty vehicles were broken into at a building on Deauville Lane last Thursday near Flemingdon Park.

A similar incident occurred two days later in an underground parking garage on Defresne Court, less than a half-kilometre from the Deauville Lane building.

Police say items were taken from vehicles in both incidents.

On Saturday, police executed several search warrants and recovered “a large amount of stolen property,” which also prompted the arrest of the three men.

The three accused are expected to appear in court on Sunday. Police say they collectively face more than 100 charges.
