"By planning early, you give guests enough notice to plan their schedules so that they can attend, and you will be able to get all the shopping and cooking done well in advance. Super Bowl parties are usually more casual in nature -- especially because the 'big game' takes place on a Sunday and most people have to work on the Monday."

"The bar is usually a statement piece -- especially for a Super Bowl party. Next, my toppings bar and appetizers are always full and colourful. I like to create signs -- in team colours, of course -- so that guests know what each item of food is, especially with all the dietary concerns out there today.
"Having your guests wear their favourite team’s jersey or team colours will add to the decor. I would have blank Bristol board available for your guests to create their own signage for chirping each other or cheering for their favourite team. Set your living room up so that viewing the TV is easily accessible for everyone -- even if that means moving your TV to another area of your house."
