Goat Attacks Woman In Abbotsford, B.C.

A woman in Abbotsford, B.C. had to deal with a hard-headed neighbour on Tuesday when a goat refused to let her leave her home.

"It made its way onto her porch, was headbutting her barbecue and was preventing her from exiting her home," RCMP Constable Ian MacDonald told News 1130.

The woman reportedly tried to shoo away the animal by throwing beer cans at it. A police officer also tried to move the animal with a stick but the stubborn animal refused to budge.

A second officer took a more direct approach and proceeded to drag the animal by the collar and tied it to a nearby fence post, reported the Abby News. (Editor's note, the headline attached to this story on the abbynews is incredibly click-worthy)

Fortunately, the goat was not charged with resisting arrest or disturbing the peace. Animal control did speak to the goat's owner.

The woman was fortunate. A 75-year-old woman from Montreal was seriously injured when an angry llama and goats attacked her at a petting zoo in Langley, B.C. last year

The goat should also count his lucky stars that he hasn't been included in Vancouver's popular fundraiser Goat Canucks Goat, where fans of the local hockey team raise money to send hundreds of goats to African villages.

What a display of ignorance and cruelty and stupidity by the public in every one of these videos.

I had nine pygmy goats, and I assure you, they aren't mean. They don't 'attack' unless you do something like the little girl did...chunk something at it's head and then kick at it! That video was hardly 'adorable'. It just showed a kid who acted like a mean little brat towards an animal.

The first video of the man on the ground with the little goat was cute. When they're little that's how they play with each other, and it looked like the goat was trying to play with the man like he was another goat. Cute!

If they're treated properly, goats are affectionate and definitely not aggressive! Most of the videos showed goats responding to aggressive behavior by stupid humans.

note to editor: the headline on the Abby News has been updated to something nondescript....whatever it was that's click-worthy, it's gone.

Those things are mean! And cranes too...there used to be one at a local bird sanctuary who would stand in the middle of the walking path and give the staredown to families trying to walk through, who then had to backtrack to avoid him. I saw him chase people around, nasty little bugger.
