Greece's largest police union has threatened to issue arrest warrants for officials from the country's European Union and International Monetary Fund lenders for demanding deeply unpopular austerity measures.

Splendid idea. The guilty parties have admitted that their purpose is death and destruction in order to "deter" other countries from getting into financial trouble. If anyone needs to be deterred here it's the Troika and the little Eichmanns that staff their ranks.

Wow, do union officials issue arrest warants in Greece? The last time I looked, judges were supposed to do that (at least in the United States).

They are the police. Right now the Greek government has been captured by hostile forces determined to cause death and destruction of the Greek people. The police union has more legitimacy to issue warrants than collaborators running the Greek state.
