2 Woodbridge men killed in snowmobile crash

The OPP have confirmed that two cousins from Woodbridge died in a snowmobile crash in cottage country.


The crash occurred Saturday morning in the Milford Bay area of Muskoka.


Their snowmobile crashed into a tree at approximately 11:30 a.m. ET.


The crash claimed the lives of Rino Mazzuca and Antonio Mazzuca, both of Woodbridge, Ont.


They were wearing helmets. The cause of the crash is not yet known.


It happened on Goltz Road in Muskoka Lakes.


Head-on crash leaves two injured


Hours later, two other snowmobiles were involved in a head-on crash in nearby Bracebridge, Ont.


The two machines collided on a trail near Graves Road at about 6 p.m. ET.


Both drivers were hurt, but both are expected to survive.


A 39-year-old Fergus man now faces a charge of careless driving in connection with the collision.
