Toronto police officer Johnathon Blair has been charged with committing an indecent act.

While details have not been released, police told reporters the constable committed the act in early February, “while looking into a nearby apartment window.”

He stands charged with mischief, interfering with property and indecent acts.

The Globe and Mail reports Blair has served with Toronto Police Services for five years. In addition, the officer was off-duty at the time of the alleged offence.

Blair, who is not related to Toronto Police Chief Bill Blair, is scheduled to appear in court at 2201 Finch Avenue W. on April 10.

What do you expect the poor guy to do? The internet snooping bill hasn't been passed yet.

Why does he deserve protection? Should it not be public knowledge what he is charged with?
Rules for the cops and rules for the rest of us. Nothing ever changes.

They listed the charges. They just didn't list the details. People get charged with stuff like this everyday and it doesnt make the news. I understand you think the public deserves the details given his position, but he doesn't get any special protection.

It will always be preferential treatment for our Toronto officers. Just like the last case of the cop Const. Cavanagh charged with second degree murder. He got a police escort and was brought in the courthouse through the judge's door. WTF??? He will probably be brought before a cop loving judge and be let off the hook.

I'm glad to see that you respect our judges as you do. How does it feel to see the world through those fecal brown-coloured glasses?

What ever that means?
