Justin Bieber understands that with great power (millions of Facebook and Twitter fans, the ability to cause riots) comes great responsibility.
Now that the pop star has turned 18, he's got civic responsibilities too. CBC News Anchor Peter Mansbridge pondered what kind of impact could Justin Bieber have on the Canadian political establishment? He posed this question to a panel of Ottawa political insider for the Strombo Show.
Would he feel at home with the young and upstart NDP caucus? Would he back a winner like the Conservatives or inject a lot of star power and revive a flagging Liberal brand?
The frightening thing, should Bieber ever choose to get into politics he would be a force to be reckoned with. Bieber's Facebook page has more than 40 million likes. That's about 15 million more than a certain political lightweight named Barack Obama.
