TORONTO - Designer Tory Burch is bringing her famed fashion brand north of the border

The American luxury lifestyle brand follows the steady influx of foreign companies and chains setting up shop in Canada with the launch of a new boutique at Toronto's Yorkdale Shopping Centre.

The 232-square-metre space is slated to open in May.

The location will feature ready-to-wear, shoes, handbags, eyewear, jewelry and small leather goods.

The award-winning designer and CEO presented her latest collection at New York Fashion Week last month.

Talk show titan Oprah Winfrey and Oscar winners Halle Berry, Hilary Swank and Reese Witherspoon are among the famous fans of the brand, which features such signature touches as graphic prints and bold colours.
