Eagle released after being caught in ice storm

A bald eagle, found frozen and unable to fly in a recent ice storm, was released in eastern P.E.I. Tuesday afternoon.

When the eagle was found in mid-February it was entrusted to the care of Charlottetown's Atlantic Veterinary College. It was treated for frostbite by exotic animal specialist Dr. Marion DesMarchelier, and released once it was able to fly.
