The robocalls scandal is serious business in Ottawa these days.

The Liberals are promising to release their phone records, but the Tories won't show us theirs.

One Tory is blaming Elections Canada for the calls, others have blamed the Liberals.

Pierre Poutine, Michael Sona, RackNine — it's enough to make your head spin. And if the polls are right, it looks like Canadians may be tuning out.

Luckily, Twitter is around to bring some levity to this otherwise convoluted affair.

Starting on Saturday, users began posting their favourite robocall movies titles.

CBC started asking for submissions and "This Hour Has 22 Minutes" even got in on the action.

Before long #RobocallMovies was trending in Canada.

Let's not trivialize this situation with humour please.

It plays straight into the hands of those who would downplay the severity of the situation.

Lots of low information voters are not aware of what was done to Canada during the last election.
