This is what happens when you take a 'traditional' feminine product and attempt anything and everything to make it more masculine.

No we're not talking about nail polish for men, this is nothing unheard of. Seal, Zac Efron and Jessica Alba's hubby Cash Warren, have all been seen wearing nail polish to events. Even brands like EvolutionMan and some products from Essie are specifically targeted to men. But Alpha Nail isn't just selling radiant colours, it's also selling the alpha male lifestyle.

"Alpha Nail focuses on keeping men's nails strong while maintaining an alpha male swagger," it says on the brand's Facebook page.

The nail polish line was founded by entrepreneur Chris Aubrey Marcus, according to Joe Rogan's podcast back in August 2011, and is even endorsed by fighter Nick Gonzalez in this DIY nail video.

Marcus even has a few philosphies he shares with his fans, one of them being peacocking. Peacocking pays homage to the "natural law exploited by the peacock," that refers to a male peacock's vivid colours, according to the Alpha Mail website. "The more noticeable the male [is] within a positive context, the more he humps."

Yes, that's right, Marcus claims his nail polish will somehow result in you, ahem, "humping" more. "You want a great OPENER? Paint one hand matte black, and one hand metallic black and ask a girl which she likes better. Bang. You’re in the GAME," the site says.

The Alpha nail polish line comes in 10 different "male-inspired" colours, five matte shades and five metallic ones. The formula also claims to give your nails strength of citral and ginseng.

i a man i like women and i paint my toe nails cus i have fetish or feet only ppl that do it know why they do o everybody can say whatever they like. you do not have to paint your nails to be gay and you do not need to be gay to paint your nails just feet look nice like that specially if you keep them clean and have a good shape. and in todays world alot women like it. the few times that i wear h heels and painted nails i got compliments from women some even asked me to show them my feet and came to talk to me they was very interestain about it. so well if guys we do whe are not interested in women that do not like that we are in the ones that do like it. it is like now the new life in Japan about the open marriage that most ppl are into already over there. but here most ppl see it wrong oh but in the last decade the cheating omen increase in surpass men. but if you ask your wife or you women will say they do not want that cuz thy always keep in secret that not mean they do not do it

You can wear OPI and Sally Hansen if you want to paint your nails (which I'm all for, by the way, it's FUN and it's not like they're doing anything else just sitting there.)

im a 40 yr old male i think people have the rite to do what ever they want , but in this world at this time it doesnt look rite for a man to have toees painted any colors. i am very sorry to say thaat but thats this world rite now.clean looking is good but should never show u put more time in ur toes then ur women. i bit my nails all my life and i started looking at others nails and seen how nasty they looked so i stopped on my 40th birth day now i have nails longer then most women i guess , but i noticed they looked just as bad that way due to always having that dirty look for a man.so i used my gfs skin color nail polish and put it under my nail , but not on the skin so water can get iut.it seemed to work they always look clean and it also seems to go ok with others all they seem to ask is how the hell did u get them that long and i just lough.if i ever did paint them it would be black only just to me as of now that would be the only color a man could pull of any were as of this world is to day. but the paint under the nails look great and clean. so i hope this might help some 1.

i just turned 40 an bit my nails all my life i stared watching peoples hands and seeing how nasty they look so on my 40th birth day i decided to grow my nails long ,longer then most men i just never had nails were i could scratch my self , but i did notices how nasty they looked too. im from w.v. and dont believe painted nails will go good with who all i know , no matter how much butt i can kick. so i decided to put a pc of wood between my skin and under my nail and then some skin color nail polish my gf had. its not the same as alot of u but i found out they always look clean and yes still a little freaky but i found out my friends o except them long as they are. all they can say is how in thee hell did u grow them that long and i lough. sou guys that want to paint there nails maybe this is for u.hope i could help

Incorrect. Wearing nail polish has nothing to do with sex of the same gender (gay).
Gay means that you like other men. Painting your nails means that you like to have painted nails. Seems pretty simple to me. - ToePaintguy
