Man shot leaving restaurant in Richmond, B.C.

A 41-year-old man is in a serious condition after a targeted shooting outside a popular Richmond restaurant on Saturday night.

The victim, who has not been identified, was leaving the restaurant at Number 3 Road and Anderson Road just before 10 p.m. PT, when he was attacked.

RCMP arrived at the scene to find him in the rear parking lot, suffering multiple gun shot wounds. However, he had no life-threatening injuries and is expected to make a recovery.

Police do not have any suspects in custody, but Insp. Brian Massie says the victim is known to police.

"It's obvious that ... he lives a very high-risk lifestyle that has brought him into the attention of police again," he said.

Richmond Serious Crimes Unit is investigating whether or not this incident is gang-related and urge anyone with information to call Richmond RCMP at 604-278-1212 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
