Pedestrian killed in Montreal North

A man in his 50s died Saturday morning after he was the victim of an apparent hit-and-run crash in Montreal North.

Montreal police on patrol found the man lying in the road on Gouin Boulevard near St-Vital Boulevard at around 3:30 a.m.

“Urgences-Santé wasn’t able to revive the man [and] he was declared dead at the scene,” said Const. Daniel Lacoursière.

Collision experts were called in to try and piece together what happened to the victim. Investigators have no witnesses.

It’s too early to say if the thick fog Saturday morning may have contributed to the accident, police said.
