Montreal police are searching for a teenager who escaped from a youth rehabilitation centre in the city borough of Rivière-des Prairies–Pointe-aux-Trembles.
Bellard Cubahiro, 17, left the centre Saturday afternoon. He is 5 feet 5 inches tall, weighs 120 pounds, and he speaks French.
Police said they fear for his life, as he requires regular doses of insulin, which he did not have with him at the time he left the youth centre.
Cubahiro could be in the city's Rosemont district, according to police.
Police said he was wearing a black jacket, with dark grey jogging pants, white shoes and a black baseball hat when he left the centre.
Police are asking anyone with information to call 9-1-1.
